Of course $$$ tooMore involved to get good sounds? No. Ok so sounds like SD3 sounds better but, more BFDtime consuming and more involved to get good sounds. It really depends on your genre, how important flexibility is for you, and how much of an investment you consider drums to be for whatever you do. Via MIDI, can integrate Battery with SD3 and even with Maschine if necessary.

This includes NI drums that work in Kontakt. The others I have used, excluding their instant sounds, are mostly a joke as far as detail programming. Personally considering all the EZX and SDX extensions I have collected over the years, a "certain sound" missing has never happened. If you are after a particular drum or cymbal sound, and you have extensively searched, maybe that's a reason to use something else. That is always why it's priced the way it is. There is a lot of programming detail in there compared to the competition. To go further than that, it takes some time because IMO SD3 is the absolute best there is as far as features/flexibility. The newer orchestral percussion sdx tho, again, is not close enough to what i want to get me across the line.If you have used EZ Drummer, its very easy use the basics with SD3. The old Latin percussion ezx is really useful but I'd like something much better. it will probably be my next purchase though because of the extra sonic possibilities it brings also tempted by roots rods and brushes but the recent sale wasn't enough to get me across the line on that either. they are better value than the old ones in terms of articulations. Tempted by all the new sdxs (not hansa for me tho) but haven't got across the line yet on any of them. I wish there were a kicks and snares sdx - or much better for me would be a snares, hats and rides sdx I like the roots sticks sdx and also find the progressive foundry really useful for straight ahead rock stuffīut i use the main library and decades more than anything

I have quite a few expansions from ezd sd2 and sd3 because I just can’t help it lol.agree completely with this Most pros who record real kits so t have as much as the core library. You should be able to get just about any drum sound. With these you can process them in sd3 or output to a daw on separate tracks and process. Not really as just in the core library there are loads of well recorded kits.
